We are a global population, with highly skilled professionals from vast cultural and ethnic backgrounds. This has continued to grow for decade, creating a need for organizations to create a work environment that will support this diverse workforce reaching their full potential. Often the burden of cultural shift falls on those who are recruited in an effort to “diversify." This trend has its pitfalls and often leads to organizations unable to retain what few people of color, LGBTQIA+ persons, and differently abled persons they may recruit. This must change. This workshop will support participants understanding and awareness of how to create an inclusive culture, attract and recruit a wide range of multicultural talent, and build a leadership ladder that will support the long-term growth of those recruited. Through dialogue and activities, participants will have the opportunity to gain tools to actively be a part of building an inclusive culture, along with gaining strategies to support people of color, LGBTQIA+ persons, and differently abled persons once they have entered their organization.
This workshop will be facilitated by Regent Brown, Ph.D, who brings over 15 years of experience with recruiting and hiring professionals, along with over 10 years experience with culture shift and change work within organizations. Join us for an intensive look into building a work culture where everyone can thrive.
