Advocacy Position
The Intertwine Alliance believes that both human and wildlife communities thrive in a healthy and climate resilient ecosystem, and that equitable access to nature is a core function of our neighborhoods. The Intertwine Alliance advocates for healthy and resilient ecosystems by supporting investment in parks, trails and greenspaces throughout the Portland metropolitan region. We also advocate for protection of natural resources and equitable access to nature.
Through a coalition, the impacts of advocacy and change grow exponentially more powerful. The Intertwine Alliance mobilizes its partners and friends to activate around our shared advocacy agenda. Join us in our campaign to advance the region's greenspaces, equitable access to nature, and parks & trails!

Policy Committee
Policy and advocation positions are determined by a Policy & Strategy Committee of board members, co-directors and other community members. We are looking to grow this committee with more representation from Clackamas, Washington and Clark Counties, and with more representation of intersecting issues like transportation justice and affordable housing. Interested in joining us? Please email Co-Directors Tara Wilkinson (tara@theintertwine.org) or Theresa Huang (Theresa@theintertwine.org).
