Native Plants for Habitat Gardens; Order Online Aug 17 - Sept 14 for October Pick-up
As environmental and climate action policy weakens on a federal level, it becomes more important than ever to stay strong at home and take action on a local level. Sparrowhawk Native Plants partners with community organizations to provide habitat-friendly and climate-resilient native plants to local gardeners, while giving back tens of thousands of dollars to conservation efforts. This fall, we’re teaming up with North Clackamas Watersheds Council, Friends of Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge, Oregon Chinese Coalition, Forest Park Conservancy and Verde. By our powers combined, over 40,000 native plants will take root and about $20,000 will go back to these inspiring community partners.
Here’s How it Works
1) Order Plants Online between August 17 - September 14 (or all until pop-up locations fill up): Browse profiles of 115+ native plant species from the comfort of your couch. Filter by sun, moisture, and more to find the right plant for the right place in your yard. Some species may sell out quickly, so we recommend getting your order in early! At checkout, select your pick-up location, date and time.
2) Pick-up Pre-ordered Plants in October: We'll look forward to seeing you at one of the four pop-up locations in October. These pop-ups are large, outdoor, parking-lot style events;
- Fri, Oct 3 - Sat, Oct 4 - Milwaukie (Milwaukie Lutheran Church, 3810 SE Lake Rd) in partnership with and benefiting North Clackamas Watersheds Council
- Fri, Oct 10 - Sat, Oct 11 - Sherwood (Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge, 19255 SW Pacific Hwy, Sherwood, OR 97140), in partnership with and benefiting Friends of Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge and Oregon Chinese Coalition

3) Plants for the Planet - Proceeds for the Community: Every season, Sparrowhawk gives back up to $20,000 to the community partners that host each event. So, sink your hands in the dirt and feel good! Your new native plants will support birds, bees, and butterflies in your neighborhood, while proceeds support an inspiring line-up of community partners.
