Alliance partners and friends, please join us for our biggest shindig of the year -- the Intertwine Alliance Fall Summit 2017 and Force of Nature Awards Luncheon! This year's theme is "Stories of the Past, Stories of the Future." Thank you to event sponsor the Port of Portland.
On this 25th anniversary of the Metropolitan Greenspaces Master Plan (see link at left), expect personal accounts of the past two decades and community members' hopes for the future to be mixed in with a fun table exercise about your vision for the next 25 years. We need all of your hearts, brains and voices to get this right, so please register today.
Kicking off the day will be the 4th Annual Force of Nature Awards luncheon and ceremony. Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate the individuals, agencies and projects that inspire us. Congratulations to this year's oh-so-deserving winners:
Neighbors for a Livable West Linn, Restoring the White Oak Savanna -- Outstanding Organizational Achievement and/or Special Project, Small Organization
City of Portland, Bureau of Environmental Services Tree Program -- Outstanding Organizational Achievement and/or Special Project, Large Organization
Northwest Youth Corps, Native American Youth Inclusion Crew -- Equity and the Environment
Charissa Jones, Tualatin Riverkeepers -- Young Professional
Whitney Dorer, Friends of Trees -- Young Professional
Nancy Bond, Portland Public Schools -- Lifetime Achievement
As per festive tradition, we'll end with socializing, tasty beverages and the Oregon Zoo's legendary hors d’oeuvres from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
For those new to The Intertwine Alliance, or just wanting a refresher on how our coalition works, please join Executive Director Mike Wetter for Intertwine 101 right before the luncheon from 11 to 11:25 a.m.
