First, I’d like to say thank you to all those individuals and organizations who continue to show a strong interest in The Intertwine Alliance’s broad-based work, who read our newsletters, write for our blog, show up at events and are doing the good work every day. This is your Alliance, and we remain honored and humbled to support your journeys.
We have arrived at an exciting moment here. With the departure of our founding executive director, Mike Wetter, the Alliance board of directors is embarking on a process for finding a new executive director to take our coalition into the future. I'm honored to help hold this organization steady until we find that person.
This time of transition is a chance for us to take a deep breath and assess how far we’ve come and dedicate ourselves to a clearer vision of the future we want. Bringing on a new leader who not only shares the vision but sees the pathway to get there and has the skills to build important connections, bringing along new friends and old, is the next important work we must accomplish.
Over the next few months The Intertwine Alliance board and staff will articulate this direction and put together a process and search effort to achieve these ends. We will keep you up to date as all that unfolds.
Thanks again to all of you who will help us carve this path, the many new voices who feel encouraged to speak their truths, and the wisdom of those who have a special connection to this land – all with the goal to build a shared sense of place where all can thrive.
Warmly,
David Cohen
Interim Executive Director
