Did you know edible plants grow ubiquitously in our urban areas? Join us at this two hour workshop to discover what edible plants are growing near you. The first hour includes an introduction to the practice of urban foraging, safety considerations, and an overview of how to prepare some common urban edibles. The second half is a guided walk around the Columbia Springs natural area. This walk provides a special opportunity to interact and study the characteristics of common edible plants found in Clark County and beyond. This fun and informative workshop will have participants looking at their back yards in a whole new light.
