Urban Ecology & Conservation Symposium

The annual Urban Ecology & Conservation Symposium is a project of the Urban Ecosystem Research Consortium (UERC) of Portland/Vancouver. It takes place each year in January/February.


In its 17th year, this annual symposium focuses on urban environmental issues and the practical application of related ecological and social science research in the greater Portland/Vancouver region.


KEYNOTE SPEAKERS


Celeste Searles Mazzacano, Ph.D. is the owner and principal scientist of CASM Environmental, where she provides invertebrate-based environmental education, and conducts surveys and creates management plans for insects and freshwater mussels.


Robert Michael Pyle is a lepidopterist, writer, teacher, and founder of the Xerces Society.

Early registration rates through January 14, 2019 (includes lunch):
