Glove up and get digging with THPRD and the Central Beaverton and Highland Neighborhood Association Committees to improve Schiffler Park. Volunteers will plant and mulch trees around the playground, pathways and perimeter in the east portion of the park to help restore vital tree canopy recently taken away in Central Beaverton, and make the park more user-friendly and resilient to climate disruption.
Leadership, training, tools, gloves, light refreshments and door prizes provided. Dress for the weather wearing closed-toe shoes and clothing that can get muddy. Personal water bottles are recommended. All ages and abilities welcome. Questions: HighlandNACtrees@gmail.com
