Come join Columbia Slough Watershed Council and Portland Parks & Recreation as we plant native trees and shrubs to help restore one of the only remaining surface creeks flowing into the Columbia Slough, Wilkes Creek Headwaters!

Date: Saturday, February 5th, 2022

Time: 9:00am-12:00pm

Location: Wilkes Creek Headwaters (15401 NE Fremont St)

This event is rain or shine! We provide gloves, tools, plants, and planting instructions. Please dress comfortably for the weather, bring water, wear sturdy shoes and long pants, and in case of rain, bring rain gear!

Public Transit: Take bus line #21 and get off at NE Sandy & 154th. Walk south on NE 154th Ave for about 5 minutes and make a right turn where the road curves left and becomes NE Fremont. Look for Columbia Slough event signs.

Accessibility: This event will involve bending and stooping to dig and plant on soft, uneven ground. There is a restroom at Wilkes City Park about .1 miles away or about a 3 minute walk.

For COVID-19 safety, this event is capped at 35 participants. You must register using the form below and specify each guest you will be bringing. Face coverings are required when social distancing is not possible. Please stay home if you are feeling sick. Thank you for helping us keep our community safe!

Note: Registration will open 1 month before event date.
