Join Columbia Slough Watershed Council, Portland Parks & Recreation, and Friends of Columbia Children’s Arboretum in our work to continue restoration on this unique property. Volunteers will have the opportunity to assist in planting native shrubs and trees to restore wildlife habitat for pollinators and birds and help reduce stormwater runoff.

This event runs rain or shine! Be sure to dress for the weather and bring water, rain gear and sturdy shoes. Snacks, tools, training and gloves will be provided. All ages are welcome, but volunteers under 14 years must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is requested.

The address of the park is 10040 NE 6th Dr. Volunteers may enter from NE 6th Dr or NE Meadow Ln. Follow the event signs to the meet-up spot.

Tri-Met #11 to NE Middlefield & 6th Drive: Walk east on NE Middlefield to NE 6th Dr. Take a right on NE 6th Dr. In 0.1 miles, enter the park to your right and follow the trail ¼ mile to the event.

Parking: Park on NE 6th Drive or NE Meadow Lane.

Restroom: Available onsite at the NE Meadow Ln entrance.

Notes on accessibility: The work site is about an 8 minute walk from the parking area. The site itself is wooded and uneven with woody debris. Please contact the volunteer coordinator with questions about site accessibility: rachel.walsh@columbiaslough.org.
