The Green Roof information Think-tank (GRiT) is hosting a lunch & learn about rooftop agrivoltaics: combining solar and green roofs.

This is a free, virtual, Zoom, event. It is on Dec. 6th. We will start promptly at 12:10 and end at 12:55

Our presenter, Dr. Jennifer Bousselot, will present findings from her research on the benefits of combining solar panels and vegetation on rooftops. When solar panels and rooftop vegetation are co-located, the panels function more efficiently, and rooftop agriculture produces higher yields. Combining solar and green roofs makes good sense! This event will be a virtual, Zoom, event. It is free, but please RSVP by emailing admin@greenroofthinktank.org   We will send you a link to the presentation.

Jennifer Bousselot, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Horticulture in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture at Colorado State University. Jen and her research lab study green roof plant-pollinator interactions, green roof system stormwater capture, rooftop agriculture, and the integration of solar panels on green roofs, also known as rooftop agrivoltaics.
