Join Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District and Alayne Blickle of Horses for Clean Water for a FREE workshop about managing mud, manure, and pastures - along with horse health! Lunch provided!


WORKSHOP TOPICS INCLUDE:

•Mud, manure, and drainage management - find out about useful ways to deal with mud and runoff on your property, including paddock footing options, geotextile fabrics, on-farm set-ups for roof runoff, creative ways to keep rain out of stalls and barns, and more!


•Winter horse pasture management - fall is the right time to get pastures ready for the upcoming wet, cold and dark months. Learn about sacrifice areas, rotational grazing, soil testing and liming.


•Winter health care for horses - Dr. Alexander of Alexander Equine Veterinary Services will discuss winter health care for horses, including vaccinations, respiratory diseases, and more.
