Crew Leaders are trained volunteers who are crucial to planting trees properly at more than 25 planting events this coming planting season. Friends of Trees is aiming to plant more than 3,000 street and yard trees in our Neighborhood Trees Program, and we can't do it without your help, space is limited at this training, register early to hold your spot and use this link to sign up: Friendsoftrees.org/crew-leader-training

We have other Covid safety protocols in place as well to keep volunteers and staff as safe as possible. One protocol is that Crew Leaders will be assigned another Crew Leader or staffer, and will plant neighborhood trees in pairs. In the past Crew Leaders would lead groups of 4-8 untrained members of the public, but this year you will only be planting with other trained Crew Leaders (or staff).

A note on planting location: you will be eligible to Crew Lead at plantings in neighborhoods in the following cities: Vancouver, Portland (N, NE, SE, E), Gresham, Milwaukie, and Oregon City. Due to Covid-19, personal transportation is necessary, we're sorry that we will not be encouraging carpooling of any sort at our events.

Please contact Jenny or Pablo if you need more information: volunteer@friendsoftrees.org. We look forward to answering any questions you may have!
