Enjoy a free, relaxing float down the lower section of the Sandy River while picking up trash in an area important to human recreation and wildlife habitat. Volunteers of all skill levels over the age of ten, accompanied by an adult, are welcome. Wear appropriate clothing for getting wet (avoid cotton) and footwear for walking along rocky beaches, and bring a water bottle. Attendees will also learn about the history and the mission of the Sandy River, why it is important preserve this beautiful place for the fish and wildlife who live there.
