Portland Parks & Recreation is creating a nature patch at Lents Park – improving habitat for birds and pollinators, adding interesting natural features to explore, and creating places to enjoy. This new natural landscape includes lots of flowering native plants, split-rail fencing, and log and boulder seating.
The nature patch re purposes underutilized areas around the community garden and playground. Landscaping is in progress and planting will happen over the winter.
You can be a part of bringing this urban habitat to life!
Plant the nature patch with us on February 1st and April 4th.
