Step up to be a civic leader with the Highland Neighborhood Association Committee as volunteers plant 75 native street and yard trees at residences around the northwest quadrant of our neighborhood. This will help address the negative environmental effects of the nearby arterial roads and loss of tree canopy buffer over time. Each tree improves the quality of life for all and eases the local effects of climate disruption; these trees will enhance the neighborhood now and for future generations.
On Sunday, November 13, 2022 volunteers will meet at the intersection of
SW Wilson Ave
and
20th St
at 12:45. Dress for the weather wearing closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty. Bring a reusable water bottle. Gloves, tools, training, leadership, water, raffle prizes, and light refreshments will be provided. The event will kick off at 1:00 and conclude with the announcement of raffle winners by 4:30.
This project is funded by a grant from Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District.
