The Green Schools Conference & Expo (GSCE) is the premier education and engagement opportunity for leaders and advocates who are passionate about the future of healthy, sustainable schools throughout the country and around the world. GSCE is the only event to bring together all of the players involved in making green schools a reality: the people who lead, operate, build and teach in our nation’s schools.

The 2020 GSCE will be held March 2-4 in Portland, Oregon. The event will feature three days of conference programming and workshops, kicking off with a keynote from TV personality and science communicator, Danni Washington. As the first African-American/woman of color to host her own science television series, Danni is deeply passionate about protecting our oceans and inspiring and educating youth about marine conservation through arts and media.

2020 conference attendees will discover strategies and solutions that strengthen the work to advance green schools for all in this generation. Experienced educators will address the newest trends, case studies, and innovations in providing healthy, sustainable learning environments and sustainability education for students, teachers, and school communities. This year’s conference offers five tracks of compelling education programming: healthy school environments; driving cultural and behavioral change; kickstarting sustainability programs in schools; designing schools for the future; and engaging and empowering students.

Registration

Register for one day or two days of the conference, as well as full-day workshops on biomimicry, net zero energy buildings, sustainability education, or school gardens and outdoor learning. Student Summit also offered for high school students through Oregon Green Schools and Washington Green Schools.
