Freshwater Mussels of Oregon

The Tualatin River Basin is broad and wide, traced by streams and rivers and home to a little known group of animals, the freshwater mussel. Nearly 300 species once lived in North America and almost one out of ten have gone extinct. This class introduces you to the biology, ecology, and conservation of Oregon’s freshwater mussels.
