Song birds love the Pacific Northwest lowlands for the mild winters. We have many more species in winter than similar forests in colder parts of the country. This class focuses on how to identify our common species and how they survive the winter season. After an indoor presentation we investigate coniferous and deciduous forests at local parks to see what we can find.

IF registering for a City of Hillsboro Parks & Recreation activity for the first time: Call 503-681-6206 (Jackson Bottom office, 8am-5pm M-F. 10am-4pm Sat/Sun) or 503-681-5397 (Parks & Rec main office, 8am-5pm M-F) to register over the phone. Payment will be required to complete the registration. You may also request a user name and password so that you can register yourself on line anytime in the future.
