Join the Crystal Springs Partnership for a walk along the creek from bottom to top, highlighting past, present, and future enhancements and restoration of Crystal Springs Creek. It has been the better part of a decade since we hosted a walking tour, and a lot has happened since then! Our walk will include stops at the confluence with Johnson Creek, the Brannen Natural Area site, Westmoreland Park, followed by a peek at the creek as it passes Westmoreland Union Manor and the Eastmoreland Golf Course. We’ll stop at Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden, and finish up at Reed College Canyon.

What: Walking tour of Crystal Springs

When: September 16th, 2023 from 10:00am to 12:00pm

Where: Meet at Johnson Creek Park (directions emailed after registration) and set off to visit various sites along Crystal Springs Creek. The tour is 5 miles roundtrip.

How to prepare: This event will happen rain or shine, so dress for weather: rain coat, warm layers, sun hat, and sunscreen as necessary. Wear sturdy, close-toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Bring a filled water bottle and a snack.
