Growth has outpaced investment in the local parks & recreation system in East Multnomah County. Budget cuts the last 15 years have reduced quality of life and left East County behind the rest of the region. But new community voices are calling for change while demonstrating how parks are essential to our the health and prosperity of our changing community.
"East County Parks: A Need & Opportunity for Renewal" chronicles the legacy of investment and divestment in East Multnomah County's local park system and the hope for renewing a vibrant, connected and accessible parks system for all.
Bring your friends and family to one of the community screenings this summer: August 18 at the Nadaka Community Festival (17613 NE Glisan Street) or August 25 at Rock the Block (18201 SE Stark St).
