****PLEASE NOTE: This event falls on daylight savings, don't forget to set your clocks back!

WHAT: Join us for a fall mushroom, lichen, and moss survey in SE Portland. This survey will help us understand more about the biodiversity, and potentially the air quality of the watershed. Thanks very much to our partners at Portland Parks and Recreation, lichenologists Elisa DiMeglio and Rob Smith at Oregon State University, and our sponsor East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District for making this project possible! Warm drinks provided. Hot soup provided by Bob's Red Mill.

What to bring:

-Please, bring your smart phones and cameras to take photos. We will be utilizing the iNaturalist app to record observations. If you are interested in using iNaturalist. Download the app and set up profile prior to event HERE. No experience necessary.

-Also bring a hand lens if you have one.

-Dress for the weather

HOW: We will split up into groups led by Lichenologists and enthusiasts to go on surveys in different parts of the natural area. We will ID on the spot when we can, take photos when we can't, and sometimes take samples back to the field station (on site) to examine and ID under a microscope, if needed.

WHERE: at a location to be disclosed upon registration.

PLEASE: If you register and find out later you can't make it, please let us know. This event will fill quickly and we can give your spot to someone on the waitlist. Thank you!
