Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day in service through planting trees. Volunteers will be adding approximately 40 shade-providing trees along West 33rd Street in the Carter Park neighborhood. The goals of this project are to create a safer street, restore tree canopy lost from the area, and foster a closer community through planting trees. This project has been made possible through the service of Carter Park neighbors and graduates of the City of Vancouver Neighborhood Tree Stewards program.

Please meet prior to 10 at Carter Park at Columbia and 33rd for light breakfast refreshments and signing in. Training, gloves, tools, water, and snacks will be provided. Volunteers should dress for the weather and wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Youth under 18 must bring a signed minor consent form.

Accessible by Bus Lines 2, 6, 31, 39, and 71. For more directions, visit C-Tran.com
