This one-day workshop in Jennings Lodge (near Milwaukie), Oregon will share with attendees the unique story of the Boardman Wetland Nature Park from the initial vision through completion.  Many lessons learned will be shared throughout the day.

Participants will learn about the unique partnership between Oak Lodge Water Services District (OLWSD) and North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD) to support acquisition, public outreach, design, and construction with many goals and objectives that the partnership and community shared.  Goals and objectives included increased flood capacity, water quality, habitat restoration, education and recreation.  Participants will also learn about the funding, land use process, wetland boardwalk and outdoor classroom design, and construction including the nature playground.
