Join us for Johnson Creek Watershed Council's most unified restoration event of the year! For nearly 50 years, local residents have worked tirelessly to restore, repair, and clean Johnson Creek. We are proud to have been part of this grassroots legacy for the past 27 of the years.

When: Saturday, March 5th, 8:45 am - 12 noon

Stick around for a free thank-you picnic lunch at the end!

What: 10 restoration work parties happening simultaneously at different sites throughout the watershed

Tasks include removing invasive weeds, planting native plants, and mulching native plantings. There's something different happening at each site!

Not so interested in planting trees, but still want to help? There are jobs for many abilities and talents! We need folks to pick up deliver coffee, snacks, and lunches to site, and to take photos.

This is a family-friendly event! Children are welcome with an attentive adult.

How to get involved: follow the registration link below and choose which site you'd like to work at. Don't wait! Some of the sites fill up fast. Once you're registered, you'll receive an email with directions to your site.

How to prepare: This event will happen rain or shine, so dress for the weather and the work! Bring a filled water bottle and a mask.

We will provide gloves, tools, and training.

Masks and social distancing will be required at this event.

Johnson Creek is an incredibly unique urban waterway that is home to a lot of people and a lot of very special wildlife (including threatened and endangered salmon!) Join the 27 year legacy of grassroots progress to enhance this watershed. Help us nurture this awesome place as we weed, plant, and mulch for a healthier watershed.
