Join your neighbors and other community members in a discussion about the future of river recreation in the South Reach of the Willamette River. This session will focus on how to improve access for boating and swimming, best manage docks and launches, and minimize conflicts between river users, among other topics. The discussion will build on recommendations heard in previous River Plan/South Reach events.
Background:
The Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) is updating the Willamette Greenway Plan (1987) for the South Reach of the Willamette River. The study area is generally south of the Ross Island Bridge on both sides of the river to city limits, excluding South Waterfront, and includes the Dunthorpe neighborhood in Unincorporated Multnomah County.
Event can be accessed via TriMet routes: 35, 36, 43, 99.
