To further the connection between the health and environmental sectors, and to advance important cross-sector work being done in these areas, The Intertwine Alliance continues its series of biannual health & nature forums on Thursday, May 18, in Southeast Portland.
Please join us for the spring 2017 event to learn more about regional on-the-ground health and nature projects and how to engage and partner with them.
Catherine Carlton, deputy director at the Institute at the Golden Gate in San Francisco, will give a keynote presentation on how prescription play programs across the U.S., including the Portland metro area's own RxPlay pilot, have connected underserved audiences to parks and recreation.
Learn about and engage with other projects, too, including:
Northwest Earth Institute's EcoChallenge
Greening of Schoolyards
RxPlay
Health & Outdoors, an Oregon Action Initiative
Multnomah County Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
Oregon Climate and Health Program
Safe Routes to Schools
Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Centers
ROSE CDC/Lents Green Ring
Light breakfast will be served.
A big thank you to event sponsor the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
