Thank you, Intertwine Alliance, for bringing home three wins in the November 2022 election.
Each of these ballot measures protects or increases funding for parks, trails, nature and equitable access in the Portland-Vancouver region.
REGIONAL
By voting YES on Measure 26-225, voters in Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington counties protect our clean water, restore fish and wildlife habitat, and connect people with nature across over 18,000 acres of parks, trails and natural areas in the greater Portland area without raising the current tax rate.
Renewing this critical regional parks & nature levy:
- Increases access to nature by ensuring parks and natural areas are close to home and accessible to everyone.
- Preserves our region’s water quality, wildlife habitat, and legacy of natural beauty for future generations.
- Improves existing regional parks by making them safer and more welcoming.
LOCAL
A "Yes" vote on Measure 34-317 improves the lives of everyone who lives, works and plays in the City of Tualatin.
It authorizes a general obligation bond to finance capital costs related to trails, natural areas, sports fields, parks and river access. Projects are expected to include a new east-west trail corridor and public access point on the Tualatin River, new and improved sports fields, and parks improvements citywide.
LOCAL
Measure 3-589 renews a local option levy that funds the City of Happy Valley's parks and recreation services for five years. It will not raise taxes.
The levy fully funds the City's parks and recreation services. Revenue helps protect and maintain such amenities as fields, playgrounds, trails, and picnic shelters, and provides funding for things like community events and youth and adult sports and activities. It connects the community with nature and fosters both new experiences and camaraderie with others.
