Help do your part in stewarding our publicly-owned natural areas! Join City of Vancouver Urban Forestry and the Ellsworth Springs Neighborhood Association in the ongoing maintenance of Ellsworth Springs East Natural Area, located on the Columbia River slope. Volunteers will be removing non-native shrubs and cutting invasive English ivy from the trunks of mature native trees, preserving the integrity of the trees while enhancing habitat and water quality.
Meet at the natural area entrance on SE 98th Avenue just south of 12th Street (1201 SE 98th Ave). Gloves, tools, training, breakfast refreshments, and leadership will be provided. Please arrive dressed for the weather, wearing closed-toe shoes. RSVP is required as space is limited; call 360-487-8324 or email reggie.frumkin@cityofvancouver.us.
Accessible by Bus Line 37. For more directions, visit c-tran.com. From Mill Plain Boulevard, head south on SE 98th Avenue until the street ends.
