This is where we get work done! The Salmon Headwaters Cleanup takes place at Timberline Lodge, where the strong winds blow literally tons of trash into nearby ravines. Volunteers haul out 2-4 tons each year -saving the entire river from this pollution. Come be part of the Clean River Solution and join us on Saturday September 21st as part of this mountain wide cleanup day! The Sandy River Watershed council will provide coffee, donuts, snacks, tools, training, and guidance. Volunteers should wear appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear for mountain weather (lots of layers and rain gear). Bring a lunch, work gloves and litter pick up sticks if you have them. We love it when families join us! Coffee, donuts, and snacks provided for volunteers!
Partners/Donors: The Mt. Hood Institute, the Mt. Hood National Forest Zigzag District, Portland Mountain Rescue, Timberline Mountain Guides, Ski Patrol, Vive NW, The Mountain Shop, Oregon Mountain Community, Warm Springs Reservation, TREW, Columbia Sportswear, Patagonia Portland, and Sandy River Watershed Council.
