News from the Intertwine
The ATP will amend the 2035 Regional Transportation Plan to identify priorities and strategies for completing the region’s principal active transportation network. The plan will be developed over an 18-month timeframe and will be finalized by the end of June 2013.
In November, 2010 The Intertwine Alliance launched an effort to create a Regional Conservation Strategy and Biodiversity Guide for the Portland-Vancouver metropolitan region. The completed documents are scheduled for release this summer.
The 2011-12 planting season was banner year! Friends of Trees mobilized over 3,500 volunteers to plant more than 5,300 street and yard trees AND more than 38,000 native trees and plants in green spaces throughout the Portland-Vancouver and Eugene-Springfield metro areas.

MGA members — Chicago Wilderness, Houston Wilderness, the Lake Erie Allegheny Partnership, Amigos De Los Rios, Sweet Water, and The Intertwine — represent more than 500 private, nonprofit and public organizations and serve a total of twenty-three million people.
