Changing the world, even just a corner of it, takes more than good intentions. If you’re like most people, it can be difficult to decide what to do and where to start. The Legacy Fellowship takes the guess work out of how to get from inspiration to activation.
Hosted by Portland-based nonprofit SAGE (Senior Advocates for Generational Equity), the Legacy Fellowship is a nine-month leadership program to train and support individuals and teams to carry out community benefit projects of their own design. These projects can be independent (in a neighborhood or workplace, for example) or for an existing nonprofit. The idea behind the program is that many of us are excited to make a personal contribution of service to our communities, and there is nothing more motivating than doing a project of our own design.
On our website, wearesage.org/fellowship, you can review our program summary and application, which also includes information about our coach, workshops and sample project ideas. We are accepting applications now, and will launch the program with a retreat on October 20.
Before you apply, meet with us for a cup of coffee to talk about your ideas and inspirations. We’ll help shape your good intentions into real community benefits. Contact hello@wearesage.org to get started.
As you will read, there is a $1,500 tuition for the program, which covers the coaching, retreat, workshops, and closing celebration. Fellows are also able to share the tuition as a team. If the tuition remains a barrier, we are able to offer a limited number of tuition waivers.
We look forward to witnessing your unique solutions for a better world!
