JOIN AN OREGON TRADITION!
On Saturday, September 23, thousands of volunteers will come together to care for Oregon at one of over 100 project sites statewide and we want you to be there! SOLVE’s Beach & Riverside Cleanup, presented by the Oregon Lottery is a great way to enjoy the outdoors while making a difference. Sign up to volunteer at your favorite project to support the health of our public beaches, neighborhoods, historic cemeteries and natural areas, and clean up litter from source to sea!
CELEBRATING OUR COAST
In 1967, Governor Tom McCall made a profound impact on our state, passing Oregon’s landmark Beach Bill and placing our beaches under public ownership. Despite the protections created by this bill, Oregon’s coast and natural areas continue to face threats from diminishing wildlife habitat, invasive plants, and litter, which flows downstream to rivers and out to the ocean. This year’s coastal sites hold a special meaning as we mark half a century of public ownership of over our beaches, and commit to caring for them for generations to come. By volunteering in your home town, you’re stopping litter from making its way to the coast and ensuring clean and healthy water ways for all. Thank you!
