Join Johnson Creek Watershed Council, the Powellhurst-Gilbert Neighborhood Association’s Greening Committee, and Portland Parks & Recreation to remove ivy and other invasive plant species in this area that hosts red-legged frogs (a sensitive species!) and western red-backed salamanders. Instruction, tools, gloves, water/coffee/tea, on-site portable toilet, snacks and homemade treats are all provided. Wear long-sleeved shirts, thick pants, and sturdy boots. Terrain is hilly, with some potentially wet areas, so bring rubber boots if you have them.
We’ll be working from 9am-12pm, with a lunch celebration to follow at a different site.
