For more than a decade, local historian Lois Leonard dedicated her time and effort to producing and directing this documentary on the life of David Douglas, the scientist credited with reforesting Scotland from seeds he collected in the Pacific Northwest. Her critically acclaimed film focuses on David Douglas's contributions to science—forestry, botany, and horticulture. During his career, Douglas introduced more than 200 new species to the gardens and forests of Europe.
No host bar opens at 6pm and the lecture begins at 7pm.
